Major Responsibilities
- Provide employment readiness training and skill development to individuals receiving services.
- Assist individuals in identifying career interests, goals, and employment opportunities.
- Support job placement efforts and provide individualized job coaching at community worksites.
- Conduct follow-up support with individuals and employers to promote long-term job success.
- Adapt support strategies and work environments to maximize independence.
- Assist individuals with personal care and physical support needs as required.
- Facilitate community-based learning experiences, including job tours and career exploration activities.
- Maintain positive communication with employers, families, guardians, and funding sources.
- Provide advocacy and case management support for an assigned caseload.
- Complete required documentation, progress notes, and data collection in a timely manner.
- Transport individuals served when necessary using a personal vehicle.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to support and advocate for individuals with diverse needs.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and meet deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable in community and employment settings.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least one year of experience working with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or in a related field.
