DSP - Per Diem

Job Title: Direct Support Professional Per Diem

Job Summary: To provide quality living supports and be responsive to individuals living in residential programs or independently. Teach, support and facilitate choices for people in their homes and within their communities.

Current Priority Locations:

Due to ongoing staffing needs, priority placement opportunities are available at Residential homes around Gloucester (Cape Ann), Swampscott, Peabody, Topsfield, and Beverly.Danvers (Princeton, Rogers, and Bayberry), Candidates willing to work in these locations are strongly encouraged to apply.

Schedule: Open shifts are available seven days a week (Sunday through Saturday) and may include:

• First Shift: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 5:00 PM
• Second Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Awake Overnight and Sleep Shifts may also be available based on program needs.
  
  

Pay Rate: Compensation is based on certifications held and the level of support required in each residential program.

• MAP and CPR/First Aid Certified: $24.00 - $27.50 per hour
• Sleep Shifts: $15.00 per hour
  
  

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting independence, personal growth, and meaningful community involvement.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal care, bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and mobility support as needed.
• Support individuals in achieving their goals by implementing individualized service plans (ISPs) and encouraging choice, self-advocacy, and skill development.
• Safely transport and accompany individuals to appointments, community activities, employment, and recreational opportunities.
• Complete required documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and other records in accordance with Northeast Arc policies and applicable regulations.
• Provide compassionate, person-centered support while maintaining a safe and positive environment in the home and community.
• Travel to residential programs throughout the North Shore and surrounding communities based on staffing needs.
• Use your personal vehicle to transport individuals when required.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver's License, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required.
• Current MAP Certification required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required, or ability to obtain and maintain certification.
• Ability to provide hands-on support, including personal care and mobility assistance.
• Weekend availability required.
