The role of the OR Tissue Coordinator will minimize the amount of time spent by RN's and Scrub Technicians on indirect patient care activities and ensures charges are accurate. To provide technical support and clerical services in the Operating Room. The OR Tissue Coordinator functions as an integral member of the surgical team and performs duties learned through a well-planned system.
Maintains OR Tissue tracking system.
Maintains accurate resource maps.
Coordinates functions of OR front-desk.
Maintains audit schedule and compliance logs.
High School Diploma or GED is required; Previous related experience preferred, will train.
ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask; Knowledge of OR environment and computer skills preferred; Verbal and written communication; Possess strong organizational skills.
