What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN-Nurse Practitioner, Lead position at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center?
The Lead Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the RMC Occupational Health & Wellness will provide leadership and input into the issues surrounding CRNP’s within the RMC Occupational Health & Wellness. This position will function as liaison between the OHC & Wellness NPs, RMC Occupational Health & Wellness Physicians, and The RMC Health System. The Lead NP will continue to actively work within the RMC Occupational Health & Wellness; but will have time set aside for administrative responsibilities. Complete scheduling for Providers working in OHC & Wellness ensuring adequate coverage for both clinics, as well as, the COVID-19 Infusion Clinic when/if there is a need.
Acts as first line of communication for the OHC & Wellness NP(s). The Lead NP will then report to the Medical Director and/or Medical Director as appropriate
Act as the liaison between the OHC & Wellness NP(s) and the RMC Occupational Health & Wellness leadership team.
Will attend department meetings and represent the OHC & Wellness NP(s) at those meetings.
Promote positive and effective communication between OHC & Wellness leadership and the OHC & Wellness NP(s).
Engages in evaluation process of the OHC & Wellness NP(s).
Provide quality patient care in the OHC & Wellness.
Delivers cost effective patient care for a designated population which include men and women.
Delivers quality, customer-friendly service resulting in a high level of patient and client satisfaction.
Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and customers.
Practices within the boundaries of the Alabama board of nursing.
Performs all other job related duties as assigned.
Current, valid RN License and certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Alabama. BLS required. Certification within specialty by the DOT and Medical Review Officer (Assistant) within three months of employment.
