Description:
Marketing Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute the company-wide marketing strategy, aligned with organizational goals and brand voice across all channels (digital, print, in-store, etc.).
- Collaborate with leadership to identify marketing opportunities and effective campaigns.
- Oversee creative development, procurement, and distribution for all marketing materials - in-store signage, digital assets, social advertising, and promotional campaigns.
- Manage internal and external communications to ensure a consistent brand voice.
Local Sales Growth & Business Development
- Identify and pursue local fleet opportunities to expand fuel and car wash account sales.
- Maintain local relationships to ensure the best customer care.
- Support and partner with retail locations to execute local store marketing initiatives that drive traffic and revenue.
- Track performance of campaigns and partnerships, making data-driven recommendations to optimize ROI.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics for marketing campaigns and account growth.
Community Engagement & Events
- Plan, coordinate, and lead community events to increase brand awareness and deepen relationships and customer loyalty.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with local organizations, schools, nonprofits, and influencers to further the company’s mission.
- Represent the company at community functions, sponsorship events, networking events, and industry gatherings.
- Build and maintain relationships with local schools, nonprofits, first responders, and other key partners.
Mission & Values Advocacy
- Act as a cultural ambassador who embodies and promotes the company’s mission and core values across customer and employee experiences.
- Integrate mission-driven messaging into all marketing and outreach efforts.
- Ensure community engagement initiatives reflect and support our purpose-driven brand.
- Ensure all marketing and engagement efforts reflect our commitment to community, service, integrity, and local impact.
Team Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work
- Work closely with retail, propane, and wholesale operations, along with leadership teams to align marketing efforts with business needs.
- Manage vendor and agency relationships, including graphic designers, printers, and event planners.
Partner with all 36 locations throughout our company in ND and MN- Travel Required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- 5 years of experience in marketing, community engagement, sales, or retail-based business development.
- Proven ability in creative development, design and execution of local marketing and promotional strategies.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
- Comfortable with both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.
- A self-starter with a passion for community impact and customer engagement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and digital marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with retail operations and store-level marketing execution.
- Experience in the retail, fuel, or convenience store industry.
- Familiarity with local marketing strategies and community relations best practices.
- Experience in sales and CRM experience.
