Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to keep turf healthy and lush
- Maintain landscape features such as flower beds, shrubs, trees, and hardscape elements like pathways and retaining walls
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, trimming, pruning, and installation projects
- Operate equipment such as excavators and snow plows to support construction and seasonal maintenance needs
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and health assessments to promote safety and growth
- Install irrigation systems ensuring efficient watering for diverse landscape needs
- Provide general landscape maintenance including weeding, mulching, planting new greenery, and seasonal clean-up tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscaping or horticulture with a strong understanding of plant care and landscape maintenance techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, excavators, and irrigation systems
- Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control
- Ability to use hand tools (shovels, pruners) and power tools safely while maintaining precision in work
- Knowledge of hardscape construction techniques involving stonework or paving materials
- Experience with tree care procedures like trimming and pruning to ensure healthy growth and safety standards
- Strong work ethic with physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
