Our Membership Department is currently seeking a (Temporary) Part-Time Membership Assistant to aid members with enrollment, renewal and provide information to guests interested in membership. The Membership Assistant answers inbound member visits and calls with a high degree of aptitude and professionalism, at times coordinating with multiple departments to assist the member while being solutions-oriented. This role requires excellent customer service skills as a point of direct contact with visitors and members.
Pay will be $16.00 per hour. This position will be for 24-30 hours per week.
Additional duties will include:
- Processing of membership using Tessitura software database;
- assisting with production, printing, packaging, and mailing of membership materials;
- assisting with communication (in person, by phone, emails and letters);
- assist visitors;
- other duties as assigned.
Special Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time while assisting members and visitors.
- Ability to frequently communicate verbally and in writing with members, visitors, and staff.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, printers, and copiers.
- Ability to use hands and fingers for data entry, handling paperwork, and processing membership materials.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials such as mailings, brochures, and membership packets weighing up to approximately 25 pounds.
- Ability to work indoors and occasionally outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to maintain a professional and welcoming presence while interacting with the public in a fast-paced environment.
