What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026-2027 Presidential Scholar position at northcarolina?
The Presidential Scholar program is a one-year full time rotational fellowship awarded to three (3) graduates of a UNC System undergraduate baccalaureateprogram. This program provides a wide range of exposure to the UNC System Office including but not limited to communications, policy, data & analytics,government relations, budgeting, system governance, academic and student affairs. This position is ideal for new professionals who are passionate about makingequity-minded change to better serve their communities through a variety of avenues. Scholars will be engaged in operational functions, research higher educationtopics, serve as support staff to a variety of councils/committees, and provide valuable insight on System Office policy and initiatives.
This position will work primarily on site. The UNC System Office is located in a state-of-the-art high-rise office space in the Dillon Building which is located inRaleigh's vibrant Warehouse District. Covered on-site downtown parking is free to our employees. Employees will also have free access to a gym on site, the benefitof being down the block from the Morgan Street Food Hall & Market, as well as other local dining, arts, and shopping amenities.
This position is eligible for optional housing as well as funds (up to $500) for post-grad applications or tests.
