We are currently looking for an Investment Banking Analyst to join our rapidly growing M&A practice in Minneapolis, MN, with an immediate or summer 2026 start date.
As an Analyst, you will play a critical role in every aspect of the transaction process, from pitch through closing, while working closely with senior bankers and clients’ senior executives. Responsibilities
- Drafting materials (marketing materials, pitch decks, client presentations, industry updates, etc.)
- Building financial models (forecast models, valuation models, etc.)
- Preparing, analyzing, and explaining historical and projected financial information
- Conducting industry and company-specific research and due diligence
- Identifying potential strategic and financial (e.g., private equity) buyers for our clients
- Supporting the due diligence process of buyers, including managing online data rooms
- Interacting with clients regularly, including attending client meetings
- Assisting in the development of client, prospective client, and professional advisor relationships
- Participating in the overall growth and culture of the firm
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (or spring 2026 graduation date)
- Relevant internship or full-time experience in M&A, transaction advisory, consulting, or finance
- Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance principles, financial modeling, and valuation techniques
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and conceptual skills
- Excellent writing, verbal communication, and computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with impeccable attention to detail
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced and intellectually challenging environment
