What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Nurse Supervisor - Intensive Care Unit (Full Time, Night) position at Northbay?
At NorthBay Health the Clinical Nurse Supervisor in the Intensive Care Unit is a transformational leader who functions as the first-line shift supervisor for the unit and has the following responsibilities:
- Has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, excellent nursing care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the organization Patient Care Services Division
- Utilizes Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model, supports the mission, vision, values and expectation of excellence of the organization
- Responsible for leadership and supervision of direct care staff, daily operations, leading the team to meet service goals, maintaining and promoting professional development
- Delegates care to other health care personnel consistent with their scope of practice, job description, competency
- Other duties as assigned
- Works under the supervision of the Clinical Manager
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing required (Employees who are grandfathered are exempted).
Licensure and Certification:
- Valid and current RN license by the State of California.
- Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS.
- ACLS required
- National certification in specialty area preferred.
Experience:
- Three years of acute care experience in area of specialty required.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
Work Hours:
- FTE: 0.9 (Full-Time)
- Schedule: 36 hours weekly
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
Salary : $87 - $105
