Job Description
At NorthBay Health, the HRSSII provides administrative and technical support to Human Resources. This is an experienced position, and incumbents are expected to be able to work independently and without close supervision in carrying out a variety of assigned duties, tasks and projects across human resource in support of the NBH human resources function.
Support responsibilities include electronic records and filing; data entry, communication, reception, phone coverage, and maintenance of spread sheets, specialized network-based and web-based HR and administrative applications, NorthBay’s HR/Payroll systems. Prepares draft and final versions of correspondence, memos, reports, and analyses as requested.

Compensation Structure
NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.

Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree desirable. College level coursework in Human Resources and/or PHR preferred
- Experience:
- Three years of experience working in a Human Resources support or promotion through career ladder in HR requires one full year of experience at HR Support Specialist level one with all competency checklists required signed off and competent in functions. Must have experience in supporting multiple areas of human resources. Previous hospital human resources experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Critical thinking.
- A willingness to learn, grow and expand knowledge of Human Resources.
- Excellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
- Must be highly computer literate.
- Database and spreadsheet experience required.
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be highly organized and be able to effectively multi-task while managing multiple projects in a busy office environment essential.
- Requires a high level of comfort with taking initiative and being accountable for team work and service excellence.

- Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 0800-1700, may be occasionally required to alter work schedule or overtime based on business need. Non-exempt. May be eligible for hybrid work.
