Primary Responsibilities:
· Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, including budget-to-actual comparisons and variance analysis.
· Oversee all general ledger activity, bank reconciliations, and fund/grant accounting.
· Lead the annual budgeting process and assist in long-term financial forecasting.
· Coordinate and prepare documentation for audits, IRS Form 990, HUD reporting, and other nonprofit compliance requirements.
· Supervise and manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including billing, taxes, and general ledger maintenance.
· Execute semi-monthly payroll and prepare quarterly tax filings and year-end reporting.
· Record and reconcile financial transactions across all funds and designated accounts.
· Maintain vendor relationships, oversee insurance renewals, and ensure timely filing of all business licenses and state/federal reporting.
· File 1099s and maintain compliance with all applicable tax regulations.
· Enter financial data into external portals (e.g., DOR, SOS, ESD) and act as liaison with federal and state agencies.
· Serve as the point of contact for QuickBooks Online setup, training, and ongoing support.
· Work closely with senior leadership on loan tracking, reconciliations, and funding needs.
· Support development efforts by managing donor contributions, event financials, and online giving platforms.
· Develop and document accounting policies and business processes to enhance internal controls.
· Provide general office support and assist with organization-wide administrative duties as needed.
Requirements
· Education or experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a nonprofit or affordable housing setting.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel is required.
· Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and payroll processing.
· Experience managing audits, tax reporting, and compliance filings.
· Prior experience supervising finance or accounting personnel.
· Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with government agencies and internal stakeholders.

Job Type: Salary:
Full-time/Exempt $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
