Boasting a mere 14 inches of rain annually, The Dalles is home to bountiful agricultural products, including world-renowned cherries, grapes and wheat. $23.80-$27.59 (non-PERS)

$25.32-$29.35 (PERS)

 

 

Job Purpose Statement/s:

 

The Instructional Operations & Compliance Coordinator ensures operational readiness, program compliance, and workflow alignment across federally and state-funded instructional programs.

This role removes logistical, administrative, and compliance burdens from teachers, instructional coaches, and school teams so they can focus on direct instruction, student support, and high-impact coaching.

 

Qualifications

 

Education:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five years of progressively more responsible clerical experience, including interactions with students and the public in stressful situations; or any satisfactory combination of experience and training, as determined by the hiring authority preferred.  College Degree (Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred).

  • Knowledge of English, spelling, composition, grammar and punctuation
  • Knowledge of current office practices and procedures and office management
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment and machines
  • Knowledge of record-keeping and reporting procedures
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping basics
  • Ability to respond to the public in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in specific computer software programs, including speed and accuracy in the use of office equipment may be required prior to employment.

 

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:

 

  • Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance and employer drug and/or alcohol testing
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to obtain and possess a valid first aid card within three months of employment. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following (Other duties may be assigned). 

  • Manage centralized purchasing workflows for federally and state-funded instructional materials
  • Track orders, coordinate receiving, and maintain distribution systems
  • Maintain inventory tracking for intervention and high-use curriculum materials
  • Ensure materials are delivered prior to instructional start dates
  • Operate replacement request system with defined response timelines
  • Maintain standardized documentation templates for Title I teachers
  • Monitor required paperwork timelines and submission workflows
  • Coordinate documentation systems for Schoolwide and targeted programs
  • Support transition documentation for LTCT reentry students
  • Maintain organized artifact systems for monitoring and audits
  • Design and maintain standardized IPT and attendance data packet templates
  • Compile consistent data reports from existing systems (in partnership with data specialists)
  • Pre-compile consistent data packets so teachers are not pulling information from multiple systems
  • Track follow-up actions so intervention decisions lead to timely implementation
  • Distribute meeting-ready packets prior to scheduled meetings
  • Track follow-up actions and timeline adherence
  • Maintain simple dashboards for program-level monitoring
  • Develop consistent data-sharing workflows between schools
  • Support smooth transitions between programs and grade levels
  • Ensure required documentation follows students appropriately
  • Maintain transition checklists and communication protocol
  • Track grant timelines and purchasing windows
  • Provide clear purchasing guidance to program staff
  • Ensure documentation aligns with allowable use requirements
  • Coordinate submission of required reporting artifacts
  • Monitor spend-down timelines for program leads
  • Submit grant proposals and supporting documents to appropriate funding organizations.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data on the performance of program activities for grant compliance.
  • Perform all pre-award and post award grant activities including timelines, compliance reporting, and communication to appropriate staff.

 

Language Skills:

 

Ability to comprehend, interpret and explain pertinent laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, school handbooks and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals or groups.

Mathematical Skills:

 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.  Ability to make accurate mathematical computations or apply standardized statistical procedures manually or by machine.

Reasoning Ability:

 

Ability to solve practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Any offer of employment made by North Wasco County School District is contingent upon satisfactory results of: 

  1. Drug screening tests for any illegal drug or substance classified in Schedules I through V under the Federal Controlled Substances Act, 21 U.S.C. 811 to 812. This includes, but is not limited to, marijuana, mind-altering substances or narcotic drugs such as hallucinogens, amphetamines, barbiturates, or any other illegal drug or controlled substance, except those federally recognized as legally prescribed by a physician and used as directed.
