WELDER

North Texas Natural Select Materials (NTNSM) is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. This position is responsible for welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance of heavy equipment, plant machinery, and structural components used in our aggregate/material operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, cutting, fitting, and fabrication on heavy equipment and plant machinery.
• Repair buckets, trailers, conveyors, hoppers, chutes, structural steel, and other equipment components.
• Perform MIG, stick, and other welding processes as required.
• Read measurements, drawings, and basic fabrication plans.
• Inspect equipment and welded components for damage, wear, and needed repairs.
• Use grinders, cutting torches, plasma cutters, and other fabrication tools.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment repairs as needed.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work safely around heavy equipment and active plant/quarry operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous welding and fabrication experience required.
• Experience welding and repairing heavy equipment, aggregate, mining, construction, or industrial equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of MIG and stick welding techniques.
• Ability to operate welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot repairs.
• Must be able to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, kneel, and perform physically demanding work.
• Must have reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Must be able to successfully complete company pre-employment requirements.
