Role DescriptionWe are seeking a well-trained Adult Nurse Practitioner to join our team part-time (3–4 days per week). The ideal candidate is prepared to work independently, take over ongoing patient care responsibilities, and collaborate closely with the physician to ensure continuity and excellence in treatment.
This role places particular focus on cardiovascular care, geriatric medicine, and comprehensive chronic disease management.
Responsibilities- Provide primary and preventive care to adult and geriatric patients
- Conduct detailed patient assessments, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations
- Diagnose and manage chronic and acute medical conditions
- Emphasize cardiovascular management and geriatric medicine
- Develop individualized care plans and oversee long-term patient outcomes
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment plans and preventive strategies
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (EKG, PFTs, and more)
- Maintain accurate, thorough EMR documentation
- Work independently while maintaining close collaboration with the physician
- Participate in practice workflow to ensure smooth, efficient clinic operations
- (Optional) Assist with minor procedures depending on experience
- In-house laboratory
- Onsite EKG, Echocardiogram, Stress Echocardiogram, and Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)
- Experienced, efficient, and supportive clinical and administrative staff
- Collaborative and professional work environment
- Minimum 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience required
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current Texas NP License
- Board Certification in Adult Medicine or Adult-Gerontology
- Strong clinical skills and experience managing chronic diseases
- Ability to interpret and/or perform office-based procedures (EKG, PFTs, etc.) strongly preferred
- Experience in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Cardiology, or Geriatrics preferred
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Clear patient communication skills and strong EMR documentation practices
- Experience with eCW (eClinicalWorks) is a significant plus
Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
(3–4 days per week)
Compensation$65.00 – $75.00 per hour
Compensation negotiable based on experience
