What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Supervisor/Clinical Director position at North Texas Institute Of Neurology & Headache, P. A.?
A nurse supervisor/clinical director in our practice manages all of the clinical staff. They may also interact with patients, but they are mainly in charge of making sure the entire operation is running smoothly and everything is up to code. If something goes wrong, the nurse supervisor is responsible for taking action. It is up to them to make sure their team is properly trained and that everything is running correctly.
Duties include scheduling hours and assigning clinical staff to departments/patients. They must also evaluate their team to ensure they are giving the best care possible to their patients. A nurse supervisor must be able to work efficiently and quickly under pressure and know how to
keep their patients and staff calm and under control. They must also be able to deal with difficult situations, handling blood and other bodily fluids and comforting people in pain. Nurses are also capable communicators and often have to talk to family members and inform them about medical procedures and doctor’s instructions.
