Job Description:
The Director of Special Education will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of special education programs for NTxCA, serving grades PK–8. This leadership role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while promoting inclusive educational practices that support the academic and developmental success of students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families.

Supervise special education teachers, related service providers, and instructional aides.

Ensure compliance with IDEA, TEA regulations, and other applicable laws.

Lead professional development for staff on special education policies and instructional strategies.

Coordinate with families, community agencies, and other stakeholders to support student needs.

Monitor data to assess program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Special Education or related field (preferred).

Valid Texas certification in Special Education and appropriate administrative credentials.
