Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bus Attendant to ensure the safety and well-being of students during transportation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children. This role requires effective communication skills, conflict management abilities, and a nurturing approach to support students' needs while on the bus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during bus rides to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus safely.
• Maintain a positive and respectful environment, promoting good behavior among students.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding any issues or concerns.
• Manage conflicts that may arise among students in a calm and constructive manner.
• Educate students on appropriate bus behavior and safety protocols.
• Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain awareness of any special needs of individual students.
• Collaborate with special education staff to support children with diverse needs.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the bus environment.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to manage conflicts and demonstrate behavior management techniques.
• Experience or training in special education is desirable.
• A compassionate approach towards children's needs and behaviors.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team focused on student welfare.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week

Schedule:

• Afternoon shift
• Morning shift
• Split shift
