Responsibilities
- Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with animal handling, restraint, and basic medical procedures such as medication administration and animal catheterization
- Support animal husbandry tasks including feeding, grooming, bathing, and maintaining proper animal physiology and anatomy standards
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment using aseptic techniques, and maintain cleanliness throughout the clinic to ensure a sterile environment
- Perform thorough cleaning of all clinic areas including kennels, treatment rooms, offices, and public spaces to uphold health and safety protocols
- Assist with laboratory procedures when needed, supporting veterinary critical care efforts and ensuring accurate sample handling
Qualifications
- Prior kennel experience or animal handling background preferred; familiarity with dog handling and pet care is highly valued
- Strong animal restraint skills along with the ability to handle diverse species.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques, laboratory procedures, and medication administration practices required for safe veterinary support
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting animals or cleaning equipment for extended periods
- A passion for animal care combined with a positive attitude dedicated to team collaboration and client service
