Experienced Residential HVAC Lead Installer

North State Mechanical is looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Lead Installer to join our team.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an experienced installer with a minimum of 7 years of residential HVAC retrofit installation experience who can confidently lead an installation from start to finish.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal installer can walk into an existing home, evaluate the installation, develop a solid plan, and complete a clean, professional install without needing someone looking over their shoulder.

You should have extensive hands-on experience with:

• Residential furnace and air conditioner replacements
• Retrofit installations in existing homes
• Gas piping and venting
• Refrigerant piping, brazing and evacuation
• Sheet metal and duct modifications
• Condensate and drain installation
• Equipment start-up and commissioning
• Troubleshooting installation-related issues
• Reading manufacturer specifications and installation requirements
• Working with local mechanical codes and inspection requirements
• Leading an install and working effectively with another installer/helper
• Communicating professionally with homeowners

Minimum 7 years of residential HVAC retrofit installation experience is required.

Compensation

$35–$45/hour, based on experience and ability, PLUS commission opportunities.
