Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Electrical Trainee to join our team, focusing on multi-family and commercial electrical installations. Duties
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on construction sites for multi-family and commercial buildings
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform wiring, conduit bending, and device installation
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support project tasks
- Support with low voltage systems such as security alarms, data cabling, or communication wiring
- Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols diligently during all work activities
- Operate testing equipment like ohmmeters to verify circuit integrity and troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with team members on framing carpentry tasks related to electrical rough-ins when needed
Experience
- Prior industrial or commercial electrician experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety procedures and teamwork
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics is beneficial
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and construction materials preferred
- Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems enhances your ability to contribute effectively
- Ability to use testing devices such as ohmmeters confidently for troubleshooting tasks
- Strong interest in developing skills in electrical wiring, code compliance, and construction practices
