Placement: Direct Hire

Job Title: Head of Tax 

Salary Range: $200,000 to $250,000 (DOE)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

•Direct organization’s federal/state income tax reporting, strategies, policy development and

implementation

•Oversee timely filing of all US federal/state income tax returns including consolidated,

combined, unitary, separate company and partnership returns and supports audit defense of

these returns when examined by tax authorities

•Interpret the law, regulations, and administrative guidance

•Represent the corporation on various tax matters with administrative authorities

•Ensure compliance with Internal Control Systems (ICS) requirements

•Direct and oversees process improvement efforts related to income tax reporting, income tax

return preparation and as well as tax ICS framework

•Direct, develop and motivate staff of managers and their direct reports.

Qualifications

  •An undergraduate degree in finance plus a MBA with a concentration in finance or the equivalent experience as a Certified Public Accountant is required.

    •Minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate tax planning strategies

    •Broad knowledge of accounting, finance, legal, taxes, and insurance is required

    •Strong background in working with the Internal Revenue Service

    •Broad working knowledge and experience of acquisitions and divestitures
