Underwriting Technician - Personal Lines Underwriting

North Star Mutual Insurance Company is looking for an individual to assist with underwriting functions to include modification of policies and verification of insurance coverage in our Personal Lines department. Individuals that have solid decision-making skills, interact well with others, possess strong written and verbal communication, are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and have the ability to learn a variety of internal computer systems are encouraged to apply. Associates degree in business, communication, or a related field or related work equivalent preferred. Previous insurance related experience for this position would be helpful, but is not required. This is a full-time in-office position. While a variety of factors, including but not limited to job related knowledge, skillset, level of education and/or experience will be taken into consideration, it is anticipated this entry-level position will start at $22.00 per hour. This role may be eligible for a merit increase at both the 3 month and 6-month mark and then annually thereafter and is eligible for our profit-sharing bonus plan.
