Compensation for this position ranges from $72,800 - $104,000, based on education and experience.

Scope And Responsibilities Of Position
- Provide robust mechanical design and technical support of NSI products and components throughout product lifecycle.
- Develop complex machine designs incorporating motion control systems, robotics, and part handling in accordance with product requirements. Precision material handling equipment design experience preferred, but not required.
- Design components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Prepare detailed drawings and bills of materials for the fabrication and assembly of equipment.
- Provide analysis of drive systems, structural assemblies and sub-components using basic calculation methods and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Interface with manufacturing to support product assembly, testing, troubleshooting and installation.
- Interface with project/product management to ensure projects meet schedule and delivery requirements.
- Develop working knowledge of X-ray and NDT techniques through NSI technical experts and practical application.
- Lead and participate in design reviews for minor designs with cross functional teams and customers.
- Collaborate with a cross functional team of software, controls, and NDT engineers to develop innovative solutions.
- Prepare detailed customer installation layouts and facilities requirements for the customer.
- Support technical services to provide customer support as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Skilled at 3d modeling and detail drawing (e.g. SolidWorks, NX, Inventor)
- Basic knowledge of mechanical analysis using FEA and hand calculations.
- Good time management.
- Ability to take lead when necessary
- Adaptable to rapidly changing environment.
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
