Summary of Responsibilities:The Claims Manager manages a variety of absence management claim types including short term disability, FMLA, and transitional return to work, utilizing claims management software and action plans. Maintains a working knowledge of all applicable disability policies and procedures for assigned client. Follows HIPPA guidelines, rules and regulations. Works closely with Nurse Case Manager for diagnoses questions and non-progressing claims. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/management. May be required to cross train on selected additional related tasks for backup purposes. Focuses on recognizing and responding to client needs as appropriate.Competencies:Demonstrates a positive and cooperative work attitude. Encourages team work among fellow employees.
