We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a hybrid work schedule (two days at home, three days in the office).  Summary of Responsibilities:The Claims Manager manages a variety of absence management claim types including short term disability, FMLA, and transitional return to work, utilizing claims management software and action plans. Maintains a working knowledge of all applicable disability policies and procedures for assigned client.  Follows HIPPA guidelines, rules and regulations.  Works closely with Nurse Case Manager for diagnoses questions and non-progressing claims.  Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.  May be required to cross train on selected additional related tasks for backup purposes. Focuses on recognizing and responding to client needs as appropriate.Competencies:Demonstrates a positive and cooperative work attitude.  Encourages team work among fellow employees.  Demonstrates the use of sound judgement when making claims management decisions including when to escalate claims.  Plans, prioritizes and organizes work effectively to produce positive results, reflecting work that is thorough, timely and completed professionally.  Communicates clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.  Demonstrates strong customer service skills.Minimum Requirements:1-3 years of working in the claims, legal, medical or human resources environmentStrong computer skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel and OutlookSome knowledge of medical terminologyWorking knowledge of basic Human Resources policies and proceduresAbility to multi-task and work in a fast paced environmentDetail-oriented with the ability to communicate effectively including producing professional correspondenceStrong time management skillsAbility to work both independently, with or without supervision, and as part of a collaborative teamExperience with Labor and Employee Relations preferredHigh School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferredMust have reliable transportation

Salary : $52,000 - $58,000
