Requirements
- Current ARDMS certification (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Current BLS certification preferred
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience performing a variety of general ultrasound examinations preferred

Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations following physician orders and established imaging protocols
- Perform a variety of ultrasound studies, including abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, vascular (if credentialed), small parts, and other examinations as assigned
- Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure a safe and comfortable imaging experience
- Obtain and document relevant patient history to assist with diagnostic interpretation
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
- Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining exceptional image quality
- Verify patient identity, exam orders, and clinical history prior to imaging
- Accurately document patient information and imaging procedures in the electronic medical record
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any equipment concerns or malfunctions
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to provide outstanding patient care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
- Assist with other duties as needed to support departmental operations
