Member Services Specialist

Position Summary
North Star Community Credit Union is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and member-focused Member Service Specialist to join our Bottineau team. This role is the first point of contact for our members and plays a key part in delivering exceptional service while supporting their financial success. The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, and passionate about building strong member relationships.

• Greet and assist members with a positive, professional attitude


• Process daily transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers


• Open and maintain member accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, etc.)


• Identify member needs and recommend appropriate products and services


• Assist with debit cards, online banking, and other digital services


• Balance cash drawer and maintain accurate transaction records


• Resolve member inquiries and concerns efficiently and courteously


• Support branch operations and administrative tasks as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent required


• Previous customer service or cash handling experience preferred


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Attention to detail and accuracy in transactions


• Basic computer skills and ability to learn financial software systems


• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Experience in banking or financial services


• Sales or cross-selling experience


• Knowledge of credit union products and services
