North Star Behavioral Consulting is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and engaging Behavioral Therapist to provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for a homeschooled child in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with one child in a supportive home environment while collaborating with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to promote meaningful behavioral, social, communication, adaptive, and academic skill development.
Position Details
- Location: Santa Fe, NM (In-Home)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
- Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week
- Start Date: Late August 2026
- Employment Type: Part-Time
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized ABA treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Provide one-on-one support during the client's homeschool routine.
- Teach communication, social, adaptive living, and academic readiness skills through naturalistic and structured teaching.
- Collect accurate behavioral and skill acquisition data during each session.
- Implement behavior intervention strategies with consistency and professionalism.
- Foster a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with the supervising BCBA regarding client progress and treatment recommendations.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Experience in ABA, education, special education, psychology, child development, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is preferred. Training may be available for qualified candidates.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to the client's home in Santa Fe.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
