Warehouse Supervisor
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure materials are received, stored, tracked, and distributed safely and accurately in support of company projects. This role supervises Material Handlers, maintains inventory accuracy, coordinates material readiness, and promotes a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory, picking, kitting, staging, and shipping.
- Prioritize workloads to support project schedules and operational needs.
- Maintain organized warehouse locations and accurate inventory records.
- Monitor warehouse performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Inventory & Material Control
- Oversee receiving, inspection, identification, and documentation of incoming materials.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Coordinate the handling of damaged, missing, or non-conforming materials.
- Maintain material traceability and warehouse documentation.
Project Support
- Coordinate material picking, kitting, and staging for field operations and project execution.
- Communicate material availability, shortages, and readiness with project teams, Procurement, Logistics, and Supply Chain.
- Staging shipments and deliveries of materials.
Leadership & Safety
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Material Handlers.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, warehouse procedures, and equipment requirements.
- Assist with employee training, performance feedback, and workload coordination.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Postsecondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- Five (5) or more years of warehouse, inventory, logistics, or material control experience.
- Previous experience leading or supervising warehouse personnel preferred.
- Experience supporting construction, telecommunications, or project-based operations is desirable.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, kiing, staging, and shipping.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and resolve operational issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoſt Office and warehouse or ERP systems.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment when properly trained and authorized.
Working Conditions
- Primarily warehouse-based with occasional work in yard, vendor, freight, or project locations.
- Regular liſting, material handling, and movement of warehouse inventory.
- Must be able to work safely in an active warehouse environment and comply with all company safety policies.
Salary : $50,496 - $70,234
