Position Summary:

The Events Lead will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing the public-facing presence of the Cuomo for NYC campaign. From rallies and retail stops to intimate roundtables and private meetings, this person will ensure every event reflects the energy, discipline, and values of the campaign.

You will manage every element of campaign events, including logistics, staffing, promotion, materials, and candidate preparation. You’ll work cross-functionally with field, press, digital, policy, and advance teams to ensure events are seamless and strategic. This is a role for someone who thrives under pressure, thinks five steps ahead, pays attention to details and loves turning chaos into clarity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Production
  • Plan and execute multiple events daily, including public appearances, community forums, canvass kickoffs, and press events.
  • Scout and secure event venues across the five boroughs.
  • Manage event timelines, run of shows, equipment needs, staging, and advance details.
• Candidate Movement & Prep
  • Coordinate with the candidate's personal staff, and campaign team.
  • Ensure the candidate is prepped with run-of-show, talking points, and briefing memos.
• Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with field, communications, digital, and policy teams to integrate events into the overall campaign strategy.
  • Ensure event messaging aligns with campaign goals and moments.
• Staffing & Volunteer Engagement
  • Coordinate with field and organizing teams to ensure appropriate staffing and crowd-building.
  • Recruit and activate event volunteers.
• Brand & Materials
  • Ensure all campaign events are visually and experientially on-brand.
  • Oversee the transport and display of signage, campaign literature, and other physical materials.

• Based in-person, primarily in the field, 6 days/week
• Use of personal laptop and cell phone for campaign purposes
• 2 years/1 campaign cycle of experience producing events, ideally in political, nonprofit, or entertainment settings
• Demonstrated logistical excellence and ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously
• Unflappable under pressure; you can problem-solve in real time
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, responsive, and detail-oriented
• Collaborative team player with a sense of humor and humility
• Willingness to work long, irregular hours and be on-call during off hours
