General Description
The teammate in this position will report directly to the Production Supervisor, or designated shift Foreman. Grinders are responsible for preparing and finishing parts by removing imperfections to ensure a smooth, high-quality product. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented warehouse environment.
Primary Duties
Follow all company policies and procedures. Maintain and wear required PPE at all times. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Verify that equipment is properly "set-up" to process material as needed. Grind parts to remove imperfections and achieve required finish quality. Operate grinding equipment according to established guidelines. Maintain an orderly, clean and neat workplace. Identify and report equipment issues promptly to management. Participate in scheduled department and company-wide trainings and meetings as assigned. Assist in training co-workers as requested.
Skills
Ability to identify imperfections on material through visual inspection. High level of attention to detail. Strong verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently on a routine basis. Ability to stand for extended periods of time while operating grinding equipment. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching to handle material by hand as needed. Manual agility to operate grinders and necessary tools safely and effectively. Ability to work in a warehouse environment with potential exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
