About The Role
The Emergency Medical Services Liaison provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for EMS in Miami‑Dade and Broward counties. This role ensures coordination of EMS operations, high‑quality patient care, seamless ED handoffs, regulatory compliance, and strong partnerships with EMS agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead EMS strategy, operations, and performance.
- Standardize EMS arrival, triage, and patient‑handoff procedures across emergency departments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with EMS, fire‑rescue, and public safety agencies.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal EMS regulations and accreditation standards.
- Partner with clinical leaders to improve quality metrics, throughput, and clinical outcomes.
- Oversee EMS Liaisons, educators, and coordinators across the region.
- Develop and deliver EMS education and outreach programs in collaboration with hospital service lines.
- Lead multi‑facility disaster planning, surge response, and emergency preparedness activities.
- Manage EMS‑related budgets, resources, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Required
- Leadership experience within EMS, hospital operations, or emergency services management.
- Strong working knowledge of EMS systems, ED workflows, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to lead across multiple sites and complex operational environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
- EMT‑Paramedic, RN, or related clinical certification.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in EMS Administration, Public Safety, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
