POSITION SUMMARY:The Emergency Department Director is responsible for coordinating activities in the Emergency Department on a 24-hour basis. This includes supervision of department personnel and coordination between the hospital and community to provide quality patient care for the public.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3 years Emergency Room experience.
• 2 years leadership experience preferred
• BSN or related degree (HSA Management).
• Certified or seeking certification in area specialty, i.e., ACLS, CEN, CCRN. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Excellent communication skills,
• Able to establish working relationship with staff and other departments.
• Current Florida Nursing License.
  
  

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises patient care in the Emergency Dept. on a 24-hour basis.
• Directs and coordinates administrative duties in the Emergency Dept.
• Plans and maintains operating and capital budgets.
• Guide and develop staff to maximum potential.
• Acts as a liaison between the hospital Emergency Department and the community.
• Serves hospital by participating in committees to improve functionality.
