Job Title: Fence InstallerJob Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented Fence Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end installation of various fencing systems for residential and commercial clients. You will work outdoors in a team environment to build high-quality barriers for security, privacy, and aesthetic appeal.
Current Location in Proctor for next 2-6 months, after that main shop will be in Carlton, MN
Key Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Measure and mark layout lines according to blueprints or project specifications.
- Groundwork: Dig post holes using manual tools or powered augers and mix/pour concrete for post footings.
- Installation: Assemble and install various fence types, including wood, vinyl, chain link, and ornamental metal.
- Gates & Hardware: Install gates, hinges, and latches, ensuring they are level and function smoothly.
- Maintenance: Perform repairs or replacements on existing fence lines as needed.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and organized job site, ensuring all tools are properly stored and debris is removed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in fence installation, construction, or a related trade (e.g., carpentry or landscaping) is preferred but not always required for entry-level roles.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (50–90 lbs) and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with hand and power tools such as drills, levels, saws, and augers.
- Drivers License: A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to job sites or the company shop.
- Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to communicate professionally with team members and customers.
Work Schedule & Pay
- Pay: Typically ranges from $20.00 – $25.00 per hour depending on experience and location.
- Type: Full-time, M-F, Typically 7am-5pm (Hours Vary)
