Part-Time TRIO Peer Leader (Student Position)
Campus Location: Danvers
Up to 20 hours per week.
SALARY: $17.30/hr.; Non-benefited position; grant-funded

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Supports the work of the TRIO Student Support Services Program including outreach, recruitment and participation in TRIO events and college awareness activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides support to TRIO students, referring students to TRIO advisors or other resources as appropriate
- Presents information to college classes, clubs and other forums about the benefits of joining TRIO
- Participates in college events as a representative of the program
- Provides coverage for the front desk, welcoming students and visitors, and assisting students with use of MyNorthshore, Navigate, Blackboard and other tools
- Assists with creating a welcoming and informative space for students by updating the bulletin boards and website, etc.
- Assists with calls to remind students of appointments and events
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Be a current TRIO or recent graduates of NSCC/TRIO; must be in good disciplinary standing with the college
- Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations and/or NSCC/community college student population (or equivalent)
- Strong customer service experience (minimally 1 year of equivalent experience)
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.
- Spanish-speaker strongly preferred but not required
