About the Role:
North Shore Center for Speech, Language, and Swallowing Disorders is seeking skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologists to join our team. CFY's are welcome. Complete your CF in 9 months full-time. Experienced in-person supervision provided. North Shore Center for Speech is currently seeking full-time employees and contract Speech Pathologists for home-based Early Intervention in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
Early Intervention (EI), birth to 3-year-old program specialists assist in the screening, assessment, identification, and treatment of children presenting with developmental delays or disabilities; assist students in the development of cognitive, communication, oral feeding, social and emotional, adaptive, fine and gross motor skills within the home, preschool, and other community settings.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical goals
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to support patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and records
- Provide education and guidance to families regarding communication and/or oral feeding strategies
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuing education opportunities
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current New York State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are welcome
- Experience with speech and language treatment for birth-3
- Pediatric feeding experience or desire to learn
- Strong diagnostic, clinical reasoning, and treatment planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records

Salary : $65,000 - $95,000
