Ground Team Monitor Job Description
Ground Team Monitors serve as the core staff of the adventure park, playing a crucial role in ensuring that every guest has a safe, enjoyable, and rewarding experience. They provide guidance, enforce safety protocols, and serve as the main point of contact for guests as they begin their adventure. By leading safety briefings, ensuring proper harness fit, and monitoring climbers, Ground Team Monitors create a secure and welcoming environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Safety & Equipment Checks
- Conduct thorough safety briefings for groups of up to 20 guests at a time, multiple times per day, ensuring they understand all rules and procedures.
- Assist guests with harnessing and gear fitting, paying close attention to detail to ensure all equipment is properly secured.
- Monitor guests on the course, advising them on technique and ensuring they adhere to safety guidelines.
- Course Supervision & Risk Management
- Maintain a watchful eye on climbers, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before they arise.
- Offer guidance and encouragement to guests as they navigate the course, helping them build confidence and overcome challenges.
- Be prepared to step in and assist guests in distress, ensuring a smooth and controlled resolution to any issues.
- Communication & Leadership
- Provide clear and engaging safety briefings, keeping guests informed and prepared for their adventure.
- Work collaboratively with the Air Team to monitor guest progress and ensure seamless coordination throughout the park.
- Uphold and enforce all park safety protocols while maintaining a positive and welcoming attitude.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to confidently lead safety briefings multiple times per day.
- Attention to detail and safety, particularly when harnessing guests and inspecting equipment.
- Ability to anticipate problems and take proactive measures to ensure guest safety.
- Comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Passion for providing a fun, safe, and memorable experience for guests of all ages and skill levels.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
