Provide leadership and manage a classroom team of paraprofessionals and therapists
Ability to work as a productive member of an instructional team to maximize student outcomes
Develop units of instruction that are aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
Write reports, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), maintain and develop Behavior Support Plans as well as data collection employing research-based best practice strategies to demonstrate student progress and adjust student goals
Work with expert consultants to identify and/or develop effective support systems for students and families
Develop positive relationships with families
Develop positive relationships with internal and external community members Participation in a mentor program
Ability to mentor and coach professional and paraprofessional staff
Ability to recognize the need for and to provide assistance to students in an appropriately active classroom setting
Responsibility to stay up to date with current educational practices
Salary : $59,360 - $103,491
