Role Description
North River Partners is seeking to hire an Analyst to join its loan originations team in New York. The Analyst will be tasked with analyzing and underwriting new loan opportunities, conducting property and borrower level due diligence, and running transaction management on loans under application. The Analyst will work closely with the Managing Partners of the firm and be exposed to all facets of North River’s business with an opportunity for substantial involvement and growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new lending opportunities including property level cash flows, comp and market analysis, and property valuations
- Manage the onboarding and closing of new loan opportunities by facilitating due diligence, third party reports, and internal processes
- Generate investment committee memos detailing investment rationale, sensitivity analyses, risks / mitigants, and returns, etc.
- Interact with brokers and borrowers, assist in drafting term sheets, and attend site visits as needed
Qualifications
- 1-5 years’ experience working in finance, real estate lending, brokerage, or development roles
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Extremely detailed oriented and organized
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing deadlines
- Expert level experience with financial modeling in excel
- Bachelor’s Degree
