North Reading High School is seeking a long-term Substitute Social Studies Teacher tentatively from January 5, 2026 through February 10, 2026. Please note these dates are tentative and may be changed with advanced notice.

Essential duties
- Unit/lesson planning
- Direct instruction of students in United States History and AP US History, as well as Psychology
- Assess student learning
- Carry out all aspects and obligations of instructional practice
- Be available to conference with parents and families as needed or requested
- Work closely with our Social Studies Department to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained
- Other duties as requested by the Building Principal, Assistant Principal, and/or their Designee
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in History, grades 5-12
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborative working demeanor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
