Education/License/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution – multiple certifications preferred.
Valid Indiana Educator’s Professional Certificate in the appropriate coverage.
Experience as a successful educator.
As set by state certification authorities.
Certification and Qualifications:
Indiana Teaching License-Middle School Certification; demonstration of leadership; strong skills in interpersonal communication and collaboration; history of using differentiated strategies in instruction; demonstrated ability to integrate technology in instruction.
Performance and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrably passionate about computer science and its potential to empower students (preferred).
- Creative and resourceful educator with a knack for making complex concepts accessible and engaging.
- Possess excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
Special Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required:
- Design and deliver dynamic lessons that integrate Project Based Learning curriculum across science, technology, and engineering concepts.
- Lead and coach our robotics team, fostering collaboration, creativity, and problem solving through hands-on learning.
- Develop and implement engaging computer science activities and projects (preferred, but not required).
- Collaborate with other teachers to build a comprehensive and cohesive STEM program.
Responsibilities:
Works collaboratively with other teachers to provide a stimulating teaching and learning environment for students.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience
