Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your role will be essential in ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and satisfied with their visit.
Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Engage with customers to take orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, including pastries and light snacks.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Educate customers about menu items and make recommendations based on their preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers is advantageous.
- Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- A passion for coffee and the food industry is a plus, along with a willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods.
