What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant/Receptionist position at North Pointe Psychiatry?
Seeking a part-time Medical/ Front Office Assistant with handling in-bound calls, patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, and returning patients' phone calls in a timely manner. Additional daily paperwork will be included, and training will be provided.
This position involves both hands-on work at your desk and face-to-face contact with patients on a daily basis.
Skills required:
- Proficiency in English (both verbal and written)
- Skills required of Front Office Medical Personnel, specifically but not limited to: handling in-bound patient calls, obtaining/verifying insurance information, scheduling, checking patients in and out for appointments, communicating effectively, returning patients' phone calls, and providing excellent customer service
- Willingness and comfort in learning new things as they relate to the healthcare and treatment of our patients
- Positive mental attitude
- Genuine interest in helping people
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and staff members
- Experience and efficiency with technology as it relates to computer use and electronic medical records
- Excellent keyboarding skills; ability to type quickly and accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, organized medical specialist's office and self-manage tasks appropriately.
Hours: Monday-Wednesday and Thursday 9:00-5:00
Salary: $13-15 per hour based on experience.
Minimal qualifications: 2 years college.
Local to Denton and surrounding areas ONLY.
