What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Manufacturing IT Project Manager position at North Point Technology?
We are seeking a senior manufacturing IT project manager to own delivery of complex technology programs inside active manufacturing plants. This is a hands on on site role for someone who has led real programs in OEM or Tier 1 environments and understands how factories actually operate.
This role is accountable for execution inside manufacturing plants. You will be expected to operate with credibility on the plant floor manage risk in live production environments and deliver multi year programs without disrupting operations.
Responsibilities
Own end to end delivery of manufacturing IT programs from planning through execution and stabilization
Lead large scale multi year initiatives involving ERP SAP manufacturing systems and supply chain platforms
Work on site inside manufacturing plants alongside operations engineering maintenance and IT teams
Manage scope schedule budget dependencies and risk across multiple workstreams
Coordinate internal stakeholders vendors and system integrators while maintaining delivery ownership
Translate plant floor realities into executable technology plans
Identify and resolve issues that impact production system stability or program milestones
Provide clear accurate executive reporting based on real plant progress
Ensure solutions meet operational readiness quality and compliance requirements
Required Experience
10 or more years of IT project or program management experience in manufacturing environments
Direct experience delivering technology programs inside OEM or Tier 1 manufacturing companies
Hands on experience with SAP ERP in manufacturing plants
Strong understanding of factory operations manufacturing systems and supply chain processes
Proven track record owning and delivering large scale multi year programs
Experience operating on site in plants and working directly with plant leadership
Experience managing vendors systems integrators and cross functional teams
Required Qualifications
OEM or Tier 1 manufacturing background
On site presence required
Hands On Delivery Experience Required
Not suited for general IT project managers or remote program coordinators
Must have
Automotive or heavy industrial manufacturing background
Experience supporting multiple plants or global manufacturing operations
Experience modernizing legacy plant systems
