Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas remain tidy and welcoming.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning machinery safely and effectively.
- Follow all sanitation protocols to maintain kitchen health and safety standards at all times.
- Handle manual tasks like heavy lifting of large pots, trays, or boxes with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Contribute to overall cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and maintaining the sanitation of kitchen floors and workspaces.
Experience
- Previous food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and basic kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Experience with banquet or catering settings can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
