Takes Direction From: Facility Supervisor, Coordinator of Environmental & Custodial Operations, Coordinator of Facilities & Maintenance
Schedule/Calendar: 8 hours/day 40 hours/week 12 month
Salary: $24.70/hr.

Essential Functions:
- Perform replacement, repair, building, installing and removing tasks not requiring the same level of specialized knowledge, skill, or training, and experience of electricians, plumbers, carpenters, or contract service personnel.
- Assist district maintenance personnel, as needs require and or as directed by the Facility Supervisor.
- Have clear and immediate knowledge of water, gas, electrical, chemical, pneumatic, etc., control locations for quick cut off or release in response to emergencies.
- Have clear and immediate knowledge of fire alarm locations for fire emergencies.
- Maintain accurate, running records of equipment and parts used in the course of building maintenance.
- Perform basic commercial building maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
- Perform equipment maintenance, operation and adjustment tasks as assigned by the Facility Supervisor and maintain running records of same.
- Have a Department of Agriculture Category 24 Swimming Pools certification or receive the certification within 6 months of employment, or upon the earliest available course.
- Have a certified pool operator (CPO) certification or receive the certification within 6 months of receiving their PA Department of Agriculture Category 24 certification.
- Perform custodial tasks as needs require and or as directed by the Facility Supervisor.
- Perform grounds maintenance as needs require and as assigned by the Facility Supervisor.
- Perform any other building maintenance tasks as assigned or directed.
- Perform snow and ice removal tasks as needed and directed.
- High School Diploma
- Trade School or Technical School preferred
- Previous building maintenance experience required (basic commercial plumbing, electrical and carpentry).
- Ability to understand and follow simple written or verbal instructions including equipment assembly and disassembly plans, diagrams, charts, etc.
- Familiarity and experience with tools and machinery required for building and property maintenance work.
- Ability to work standing/walking for long periods of time, ability to work alone, ability tolift, push, pull, twist, stand, raise arms abe shoulders, stoop to ground, climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, work in noisy or dusty environments, inside and outsike, in extreme weather conditions.
