Summary: Performs a variety of secretarial and clerical duties following school procedures to help the assistant principal in the administration of approximately 700 students assigned to each home office. Observes all school board policies and administrative regulations.

Essential Functions:
- Assists assistant principal and counselors in a variety of secretarial and clerical duties
- Processes cut slips and behavior reports
- Coordinates student conferences with administration
- Prepares correspondence and documentation pertaining to student discipline
- Compiles, reproduces and distributes information necessary for student hearings and other communication
- Assists students, teachers and parents as needed
- Schedules appointments and coordinates administrator's calendar
- Types memos, agendas, minutes, reports, lists and other necessary forms
- Serves as clearinghouse for all student obligations
- Maintains and updates student files and office records
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
- High school diploma with additional secretarial training preferred
- General office experience
- MS Office experience including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access
- Proficient in the use of Google related documents and Google Drive
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Computer knowledge and proficient in typing
- Self-motivated with ability to handle multiple tasks
- Understands importance of maintaining confidentiality
- Able to work independently within tight time frames
