Job Title: Middle School Girls Assistant Volleyball Coach
Reports To: Athletic Director
Position Type: Seasonal / Part-Time
Position Summary:
North Park School District is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach in developing student-athletes’ skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The Assistant Coach helps with practices, game preparation, and supervision of athletes while promoting a positive and safe team environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices.

Help teach sport-specific skills, techniques, and strategies.

Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities.

Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development.

Assist with equipment management, game preparation, and team logistics.

Help ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes.

Communicate effectively with the Head Coach, athletes, and school staff.

Follow North Park, Western-Slope League, and Colorado athletic policies and guidelines
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Pass a CBI and FBI background check

Ability to complete the CHSAA 1st Year Coaches Test, Concussion Training, Mandatory Reporter Training, and First Aid/CPR certification

Previous playing or coaching experience in volleyball preferred.

Ability to work with student-athletes in a positive and constructive way.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
Compensation:
Stipend based on district salary schedule.

Working Conditions: The majority of the coaching job will take place outside or in a gym. The assistant coach is expected to attend all practices and games. Travel is required.
