What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Director - Physician position at North Pacific Medical Clinic?
Medical clinic is looking a Medical Director physician to serve as the Supervising physician for the practice. This role primarily involves remote oversight and clinical supervision of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and other healthcare providers in accordance with state regulations.
The Medical Director is not required to be physically present on-site and will provide guidance, chart review, and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated Medical Director and supervising physician for the clinic
- Provide remote supervision and collaboration with Nurse Practitioners and clinical staff
- Review and sign off on charts, protocols, and treatment plans as required
- Ensure clinic operations comply with state, federal, and regulatory guidelines
- Be available for consultation and clinical guidance when needed
- Assist with development and approval of clinical policies and procedures
- Participate in periodic quality assurance and performance reviews
- Maintain appropriate documentation for supervisory agreements
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted MD or DO license in CALIFORNIA
- Experience supervising Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants preferred
- Strong understanding of scope of practice laws and compliance requirements
- Ability to provide remote oversight and timely communication
- Prior experience as a Medical Director is a plus
Pay: $6,000.00 per month
