Ambassador Service Technician/Maintenance Grounds Worker
The North Mississippi State Hospital is searching for a Part-time Ambassador Service Technician (Patient Transporter)/Maintenance Grounds Worker for the Tupelo, Mississippi location in Lee County. This is a Contract Position with up to 40-Hours. The Ambassador Service Technician will be responsible for transportation management, grounds maintenance, and landscaping functions. The incumbent will support the mission of NMSH to provide the highest quality acute psychiatric care for Northeast Mississippi adults in the process of recovery.
Essential Functions:
This is skilled work in Ambassador Services and is responsible for transporting patients to various locations from a state institution. Incumbent provides customer service skills to clients, creates a safe and friendly environment for patients, exhibits caring concern and patience with clients, and is the backup contract worker for the Maintenance Department. The Ambassador Service Technician works under the general supervision of the Risk Management Director overseeing transports.
- Transport Patients to doctor's appointments, group homes, and various other appointments and locations.
- Serves as a floater in other departments of the hospital.
- Backup to the Maintenance Department completing grounds maintenance and landscaping functions.
- Salary: $15.00 per hour.
Experience/Education Requirements:
Education:
Graduation from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED or High School Equivalency Diploma.
Experience:
One (1) year of related experience, six (6) months of which must be experience related to client transport, customer service, grounds maintenance and/or landscaping.
